Inflatable day and summer fete

Upton Primary School Parents Association ARE HOSTING:

Inflatable Day – May 26th from 1-4pm

Children aged 2-11 can bounce all afternoon for £5 for a wristband, squash included for the kids.

Refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.

and

Upton Primary School PA School Summer Fete:

June 30th from 11.30-4.30pm

Come along and support our children and the Bexley community whilst raising money for the school.

There will be many stalls ( some run by our children) including hook a duck, pick a card, tombola and many more, also various displays including local dance and karate groups and many more!!

Hi,

I work for the Gold Challenge, and just wanted to let you know that we have just launched a new charity challenge which we think is perfect way for you to get excited about the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming to London next year.

We’re part of the official Olympic Legacy project and work with the British Olympic Association and Team GB, as well as over 130 charities like Cancer Research, Right to Play, NSPCC, Oxfam and Scope.

To celebrate the Olympics coming to London we have 3 different Olympic Sport themed challenges, including the 2012km Challenge where the idea is that you or your team must cover 2012km by cycling, running, swimming and so on, as fast as you can.

You log your distances online through our Totalizer tool, which allows you to track how far you’ve gone, and keep your sponsors updated with your progress.

Foots Cray Lions JFC

Local junior football club, Foots Cray Lions, hosted one of the largest football tournaments in the country last weekend.

The tournament was the first to be held at back at the club’s ground at Cray Meaow Youth Centre, Foots Cray for more tahn 5 years.

More than 550 boys and girls from over 50 different teams competed in the two day event. As one of the largest teams in the borough, Foots Cray Lions were able to enter 12 teams of thier own and were joined by teams from as far away as Thurrock and Maidstone, as well as local teams from Bexley and South East London

All of the competitions were played in a tremendous spirit, with the FA Respect codes of conduct being well observed by players and spectators alike. There were notable wins for the home club in the Under 9 competition and for Dartford Ladies & Gravesham Ladies in the girls competitions. Buckhurst Hill were awarded with the fair play trophy in the youngest, under 6, age group.

The Club would like to thank all the parents who gave up their time to volunteer and help make the tournament such a great success.
